Kerja di Ofis Orang

Nine months. Yes, nine months dah rupanya aku bekerja kat opis. Aku rasa cam cepat betul masa berlalu. Dalam masa sembilan bulan memacam pengalaman aku dapat. First 2 months were tough…I had to catch up so many things with limited strength and limited communications. I didn’t make friends at office fast enough since I was damn busy with my tasks. Aku pun bukan jenis cepat ramah dengan orang and some more I was quite ‘different’. I was the only malay girl yang free hair kat office tuh. Huhu..so semuanya agak serba tak kena pada mulanya. Aku cuma bergaul dengan my dept colleagues.

As time goes by, segala-galanya berubah. Aku makin selesa kat sana sebab aku dah kenal beberapa orang rakan sekerja from other departments yang boleh aku panggil sebagai kawan. Aku tak lagi makan kat office sebaliknya hari-hari kami keluar dan makan sesama. Semakin ramai yang kenal aku..dan I eventually became myself with everyone.

So basically communication is no longer a factor. But I found myself not really satisfied with the tasks. Boring. Since they implemented the new system..semuanya macam tak kena gaya. The new system sepatutnya improvise everything tapi ianya tak berlaku. Terlalu banyak liaise with other depts…dan ianya melibatkan kerja manual lebih dari sebelumnya. Liaising with other depts means terpaksa layan lebih banyak karenah birokrasi. Leceh. It just doesn’t suit me. I hate putting myself in the situation dimana orang yang ada jawatan or seniority menunjuk-nunjuk kuasa mereka and treat other people like shit. Very sickening.

After six months, aku rasa cam penat dah. And some more my mom wasn’t really well that time and I decided to quit. But my boss just didn’t allow me to do so and he asked me so stay at least for another two months. So okey, I continue my job dengan rasa berbelah bagi di hati. My boss even gave me one week leave for me to get some rest and to take care of my mom. It’s a nice deal anyway.

So okey, it’s been nine months now. Instead of two months, I did three months. Yeah, it’s time to say goodbye. And now, at the very moment I write this, aku bukan lagi seorang pekerja. Heh.

On my last day, aku sakit perut. So aku tak masuk kerja pagi tuh. Most of my tasks dah diselesaikan..Aku cuma perlu masuk kerja untuk kemas-kemas my desk dan untuk pulangkan beberapa harta company. Jadi aku fikir, masuk setengah hari wouldn’t bring any harm. I was wrong, at 9am, my colleague called me and tanya aku kat mana. I said, aku masuk half day kot sebab sakit perut. And she said everyone is there waiting for me..sebab diorang dah plan a farewell party. Hahaha..my dept planned a farewell party for me?. Seems like they didn’t manage to surprise me..but I surprised them instead with a no show….Cool..

So aku masuk la ofis jugak pehtuh. The farewell party was held at a golf club and macam biasa aku kena bagi last speech. Dayyumnn…I hate public speaking..tapi ape nak buat kan. Aku tak sangka actually akan ada a farewell party for me. Diorang appreciate jugak aku nih ek. So I just thanked everybody and summarize sikit pengalaman aku selama aku bekerja ngan diorang..and then..makan-makan.
